Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data WoDBO Online collects when you use the game, the game client and our website, why we collect it, who we share it with and what rights you have. WoDBO Online is operated by Jacolos Company, a brand of WebSolutions Group Sp. z o.o., which is the data controller for this processing.

If you have any question about this policy or your data, contact us at admin@wodbo.net.

1. Data we collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Account data — your account name, e-mail address, an encrypted (hashed) password, the date and IP address used to create the account, and your Premium Points balance.
  • Character & gameplay data — your character names, in-game progress and statistics, and the IP address used to create a character.
  • Technical & device data — IP addresses, the name and identifier of devices you authorise for your account, your client version and operating system.
  • Diagnostic logs — when the client runs into an error or desync, it may upload error, desync and network (packet) logs so we can find and fix problems. These are stored per device and per day.
  • Purchase data — records of your orders (payment method, package, points purchased and timestamps). Payments are handled by our payment providers; we do not receive or store your full card details.
  • Communications — support tickets and e-mails you send us, and your newsletter subscription if you opt in.
  • Website data — basic technical information needed to serve the website (see "Cookies & the website" below).

2. How and why we use your data

We use your data for the following purposes and on the following legal bases (Article 6 GDPR):

  • To create and run your account and provide the game — performance of our contract with you.
  • To process purchases of Premium Points — performance of a contract.
  • To keep the Service secure and fair — to detect cheating, fraud and abuse and to protect our players and systems — our legitimate interests.
  • To diagnose and fix technical problems using the logs described above — our legitimate interest in a stable Service.
  • To respond to your support requests and send service-related messages — performance of a contract and our legitimate interests.
  • To send you the newsletter, where offered — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • To comply with legal obligations, for example accounting and tax rules.

3. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run WoDBO, and only as far as needed:

  • Payment providers — Stripe, PayPal, CashBill and our cryptocurrency provider — to process payments.
  • E-mail delivery — to send verification, recovery and notification e-mails.
  • Cloudflare — for bot and abuse protection (Turnstile), where enabled.
  • Discord — for our community platform and internal operational alerts.
  • Our content-delivery and newsletter systems — to deliver client files and, if you opt in, the newsletter.

We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect our rights, our users or the Service.

4. International transfers

Some of our providers are located outside the European Economic Area. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

5. How long we keep data

  • Account and character data is kept for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise this data, except for anything we must keep (see below).
  • Diagnostic logs are kept only as long as needed to investigate and fix problems, and are then removed.
  • Purchase and accounting records are kept for as long as the law requires (in Poland, generally five years).

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw any consent you have given. To exercise these rights, contact us at admin@wodbo.net.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority. In Poland this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO):

uodo.gov.pl

7. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including hashing passwords, access controls and protections built into the client and the Service. No system can be completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security — please help by keeping your password safe and using two-factor authentication.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

9. Cookies & the website

Our marketing website is largely static and does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Some features rely on third parties that may receive your IP address when their content loads — for example Google Fonts, embedded YouTube videos (in privacy-enhanced mode), stream embeds, and Cloudflare Turnstile where enabled. The in-game client stores your settings locally on your device rather than using website cookies.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The version published here, with the date shown above, is always the current one; we will announce significant changes through our usual channels.
